Castle operates exclusively as a dynamic web-scraping tool and algorithmic hyperlink catalogue. Our software maps and categorises media URLs that already exist on the public internet. We do not possess server infrastructure to host, upload, archive, or distribute physical video files. Every cinematic asset or live stream discovered through our interface is hosted on independent, third-party domains outside our administrative control.

1. Neutral Indexing and Legal Compliance

Castle is fully committed to protecting the legal rights of Bollywood production houses, regional cinema studios, and the official broadcasters of premium sporting events such as the IPL and ICC cricket tournaments. We maintain our Safe Harbor status under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 as a passive technical intermediary, and provide rights holders with an efficient mechanism to remove unauthorised links from our directory. (For our complete intermediary framework, see Section 1 of the Master Service Agreement.)

2. Mandatory Criteria for Infringement Reports

To initiate removal of an offending hyperlink, the copyright owner or their authorised representative must submit a formal takedown dossier including:

  • Authentication: A physical or verifiable electronic signature of the copyright owner.
  • Asset Specifics: Clear identification of the infringed work, including the exact movie title, release year, or live broadcast event name.
  • Technical Evidence: The precise URL or hyperlink path generated within the Castle application pointing to the unauthorised third-party host.
  • Claimant Details: Your official corporate email address, direct telephone number, and physical office location.
  • Good-Faith Affirmation: A legally binding statement that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner.
  • Perjury Declaration: A sworn statement confirming that all information provided is accurate and that you hold the rights to the material.

3. Statutory Exceptions — Fair Dealing

Indian copyright law under the Copyright Act, 1957 accommodates "Fair Dealing," permitting limited use of copyrighted works for academic commentary, news reporting, or critical review without prior permission. If a server operator believes their link was removed in error, they may file a Counter-Notice. The Castle legal team will independently evaluate the submission. If Fair Dealing criteria are demonstrably met, we reserve the right to reinstate the contested hyperlink.

4. Domain Blacklisting — Three-Stage Enforcement

Castle enforces a rigorous penalty system against third-party servers that habitually host unauthorised material:

Stage

Trigger conditions

Actions to be taken

Timeframe

Strike 1 — Warning

First verified infringement report

Link deleted immediately; domain flagged in backend database

Strike 2 — Suspension

Second verified offense

Strike 3 — Permanent Ban

Third or subsequent offense

5. Designated Copyright Agent
